5 Foods That Automatically Burn Belly Fat

Belly fat is a beach goers worst nightmare. Every year people struggle to find news way to lose weight and get the body they want before summer arrives. However, most people are unaware that the human body is naturally designed to burn fat as efficiently as possible. The problem is, it requires the right fuel to do so. The western diet just so happens to be chock full of all the wrong foods when it comes to weight loss. Exercise is a great way to counteract this problem, but the real solution is a health conscious diet. Here are five foods that can help you lose weight and curb hunger without lifting a finger.

Fish

Fish is a fairly common source of protein in the western diet, but it is still overshadowed by beef, pork and other land animals. Fish is by far the healthiest option when it comes to a carnivorous diet. Fish is loaded with omega-3s, which provide all sorts of health benefits. Omega-3s greatly improve heart health, reduce the risk of certain mental disorders and even promote weight loss. Protein itself burns calories when being digested, and the Omega-3s in Fish add an extra boost to your metabolism.

Milk

Though milk contains a lot of sugar as lactose, it also provides certain benefits that can help burn belly fat. Studies have shown that those who consume lots of calcium daily are more likely to burn fat that is stored around the intestines. This is where stubborn belly fat is born. This same abdominal fat has been linked to many serious health problems, including cancer.

Legumes

Nuts are a great source of magnesium, which can help improve sleep patterns and mood. In fact, seasonal affective disorder and other forms of depression have been directly linked to magnesium deficiencies. When depressed, our bodies undergo serious changes, such as slower metabolism and increased appetite. This increase in appetite often leads to the over consumption of high carb junk foods. Better sleep also helps the body to metabolize food more efficiently, so be sure to get your daily dose of magnesium.

Fiber Rich Whole Grains

There are plenty of heated debates surrounding the consumption of grains. Though many grains are bad for you, those high in fiber, such as brown rice, may actually help you to burn fat. This occurs because foods high in fiber, like oatmeal, are difficult for the body to digest. Digesting fiber burns far more calories than digesting processed junk food.

Green Tea

Believe it or not, drinking green tea daily is a great way to burn fat. A specific compound in green tea, called EGCG, helps to temporarily increase your metabolic rate. If you drink three or four cups every day, your body will continuously burn more calories and fat than normal. The best way to do this is to keep a large jug of iced green tea in your refrigerator at all times. Rather than a soft drink, sip on green tea throughout the day and watch your belly shrink.
