This traditional homemade hummus can be a healthy alternative to bring to your next party! Not only is it healthy, by making it from scratch, you do not have all the preservatives that the store bought ones can contain. Plus it’s really easy to make!
2 cans of no salt added garbanzo beans (chickpeas) rinse and drain.
2 crushed garlic cloves
½ cup of water
¼ cup tahini (sesame seed juice)
¾ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Parsley- for garnish
Put beans and garlic into food processor. Pulse until chopped.
Add water and remaining ingredients. Pulse until smooth, using spatula to scrape drown the sides.
Garnish with lemon wedge and fresh parsley.
Use sliced veggies such as bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower to use for dipping.
